Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Approximate driving time to the Avenue Hotel is 30 minutes and distance is 20 kilometres (12.5 miles).
A tram runs from the airport to Central Station which is approximately 500 metres from the hotel. From there take tram number 1, 2 or 5 and get off at the second stop. The hotel is on the left. Alternatively, a taxi to the hotel will cost approximately 40€.
Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. Bicycles are also a good way to see the city, and there is an extensive network of cycle lanes.
