Getting there: From the airport, a taxi costs approximately €55. Shuttle buses (€12.50) directly to hotels, including this one, leave the airport every 15 minutes from early morning to late evening. Trains leaving from a railway station beneath the airport go to Amsterdam's Central Station, where there are land and water taxis and which is two kilometres from the hotel. Trams from Central Station stop in Rembrandt Square 75 metres from the hotel. The city's underground (Metro) system has a station at Central Station and a station (Waterlooplein) 100 metres from the hotel.
Getting around: The city's historical centre is easily explored on foot. Hire bicycles are widely available throughout the historical centre. Trams and buses run throughout the city. Canal buses operate in the historical centre, and there's a stop 150 metres from the hotel. While there's an underground (Metro) station at the Central (railway) Station, the underground primarily operates outside the historical centre. The hotel staff summons land taxis on request, and pedicabs and water taxis can be hired within the historical centre.
