Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Approximate driving time to the Banks Mansion hotel is 20 minutes and distance is 20 kilometres (12 miles).
Getting there: There is a railway station in the terminal’s central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes and take 10-15 minutes. A taxi from the station to the hotel should cost €10-12. Taxis are also available from outside the arrivals hall and cost in the region of €50 to the hotel. Every 10 minutes between 6 AM and 9 PM the Connexxion Schiphol Hotel Shuttle bus leaves from platform A7, situated just outside Arrivals hall and stops in front of Banks Mansion. Tickets are available on the bus and at the hotel reception desk (€12 one way).
Getting around: Amsterdam has a very good public transport system, with trams, buses, taxis, a metro, and, of course, plenty of good bicycle lanes.
