Getting there: There is a railway station in the terminal’s central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Central Station approximately every 15 minutes. From Amsterdam Central, take tram number 25 to Cornelius Troostplein and the hotel is on the right-hand side. Shared Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and seat up to eight passengers; fares cost from €19 per person. Private taxis to the city centre typically cost €40 and to the hotel cost around €25. Public buses run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities. Bus numbers 197 and 370 run to Amsterdam city centre and Amsterdam Zuid. All prices subject to change.
Getting around: Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although there is an excellent integrated metro, tram, and bus service running throughout the city and surrounding area. Cycling is hugely popular in Amsterdam and is an excellent way to see the city. Taxi ranks are available at the central station. Driving is discouraged within the canal ring.
